1. Install lighting, a smart doorbell, or CCTV camera outside your home to deter burglars.

2. Be cautious of unexpected sales calls or deliveries.

3. Keep gifts and valuables out of sight.

4. Dispose of packaging carefully to avoid advertising expensive presents.

5. Lock doors and windows at all times.

6.Mark valuable items with your postcode and house number.

7. Be alert and protect your belongings.

8. Know how to get help if you feel unsafe.

9. When out and about, there is safety in numbers.

10. If using taxis, always book via a reputable company
